In the work ‘in state of verticality’ the physical boundaries of a space is deconstructed. Examining its preconceived limits and how they can be altered or influenced by use of digital techniques. The work was set in an existing space; adopting the architural design that provided the work a foundation. The room is approximately 3,5 m x 3,5 m with a small reduction in one of its corners, supported by a pillar. By recreating a similar true to size pillar and placing this close to the original one, a shift of perspective was able be achieved. By video projecting onto the pillars, planes of shadows were created between them that expanded the space virtually yet at the same time physically. The viewer was able to walk in and around the installation.
