Charles drew inspiration for the lamp from stories of extraterrestrial life, space exploration, and interstellar travel, narratives that shaped both its aesthetic and the mood of the accompanying video. The brief was to translate this vision into film: a sense of fantasy rendered through a minimal yet playful visual language that echoes the lamp's own design.
The video draws on 90s pop music videos, where futuristic sets, robotic arms, and spaceship imagery were part of the visual grammar. This retro-futuristic sensibility helps build a backstory for the lamp, one that ties directly into its space-inspired origins.
